Last four Thumbnail pages for now!

I've thumbnailed the first 20 pages of my story, but it's time to do some finished art, so here are the next four pages (and last I'll post of the thumbs) for your perusal. We're setting up the hike and the event that is the catalyst for everything that happens. Let me know what you think.

I spent about 2 to 3 hours (or more) on each page. They're more like loose tight roughs, but I wanted to be very clear where I was heading,

I'm having fun working with my writer ... ME!
He listens to all my suggestions and agrees with most of them.

What a guy!

well, your shot choices and compositions are awesome. talk about clarity! it's really good. i'm very happy to see these!
the only two things i was left on the outs on are (totally personal preference) thta i wish there were a bit more textures on the trees, the cabin and the backpacks and, i'd like to question the use of the decentralized black frame in the back. is that a design choice, character's perspective suggestion, or something else? i dont dislike it, but i get the feeling that it implies something that i dont immediately read.
thanks for posting! i love yer work, tom.

Jose-
The trees will have LOTS of textures on the inked pages. For thumbnails, I didn't feel they warranted the time. I just happened to do it a bit on page seven.

As for the page layout and design: the black on the outside edges is where narration boxes will go. Nothing but dialogue will be in the panels. That also means that inner dialogue (thoughts) will be on the outer area as well.

Does that sound okay? Or interesting?

I hope so. Thanks for the commentary, Joe.

Tom, great stuff. I always enjoyed seeing your stuff in class. Sorry I haven't kept in touch. Life got in the way and all that jazz. These thumbnails are really tight. Can't wait to see more of your stuff. Good luck and hopefully we can catch up soon. -Ryan Crissey

Ryan-
Good to hear from you.
I'm glad you're still pushing. Too many people give up.
I'll be at Heroes Con this year. Are you going?

More art coming soon.

Yeah I'm still at it. Got too complacent in a job I had and stopped for a while, but got a swift kick in the pants and now I'm concentrating on my art full time. It's good to talk to you again.
Yeah I'll be at Heroes Con this year. Can only afford to go up for one day but I'll be there. If you're not swamped with people we'll have to catch up and have you critique my art. Can't wait to see more of your stuff.
